A celebration of Summer – Garden Tour and Tasting Menu
Thursday 11th August 2022 Join Head Gardener, Nick Huxley, and Hotel owner, John Cushing, for a guided Garden Tour exploring the award-winning once acre kitchen garden and its bountiful, summer produce. Followed by a delicious, seasonally inspired tasting menu showcasing the best of Goldstone terroir. Highlights will include vegetable varieties grown from the Heritage Seed Library (HSL) chosen for their flavour and connection to Shropshire, such as Runner Bean Blackpod – a 19th century heirloom from Bridgenorth and Carrot John’s Purple – crisp and flavoursome. Other seasonal picks include, fennel, nasturtium, lettuce, beetroot, lemon verbena, woodruff, tayberries & alpine strawberries. Locally sourced meat, cheese and wine will also feature. Itinerary 11.30am – Guided Tour around the garden with John Cushing and/or Head Gardener, Nick Huxley 12.30pm – Five course tasting lunch in Garden Oak Pavilion 3.00pm – Finish Diners will be seating together.
