 Terms and Conditions relating to online store & hotel booking portal

Welcome to the Goldstone Hall Hotel website terms and conditions for use and terms of sale. These terms and conditions apply to purchases made through this website. By placing an order, you agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set out below so please read them carefully.

This website is operated by Goldstone Hall Hotel. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Goldstone Hall Hotel.

By visiting our site, booking with us and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Placing Orders

Placing an order is done through our online shop or can be placed on this site or over the phone. Products are subject to availability and we reserve the right to withdraw items due to unforeseen circumstances. Booking a Hotel Room

When booking online or via the telephone we take a non-refundable deposit on rates at the time of booking. This rate does not include other charges that you may accrue during your stay. This deposit is deductible when you settle your bill at the end of your stay with us.

Booking a table (in the restaurant)

Currently we cannot take restaurant bookings online. These must be made by calling 01630 661202.

Booking a workshop or masterclass event  

On booking you must pay the full price to confirm your place on the event. The workshops are nonrefundable but are transferable up to 1 week before the event but then are non-refundable.

Garden

Visitors – all garden visitors must pay on arrival in the hotel.

Current entrance prices are listed here. We cannot offer online booking for garden visits.

Group Bookings

All groups bookings for the garden must be made via calling 01630 661 202 and specific terms and conditions will be issued at the time of booking.

Special Events and Weddings

Due to the size of these bookings we offer separate terms and conditions which can be discussed during your first meeting with us.

Payment Online

All payments online are processed by a third party gateway payment processing platform which is SSL protected, PCI  Level 1 compliant and encrypted. We do not process any credit cards details on our own website.

We will debit the whole price of the goods from your preferred payment card at the time of the order. We have the right to terminate our agreement with you if you refused payment. In order for the payment process to run smoothly, the address details are required of the credit/debit card holder. This will then be used to validate the order. Incorrect details given will result in delaying the process of your order.

Prices

We try to ensure our prices on the website are correct at all times. However, our products are subject to market forces and we reserve the right to change the prices at any time and without prior notification. If you have placed an order affected by a price change we will contact you and will not proceed with the order without your consent. We reserve the right to alter or remove any special offers from time to time and as necessary.

Our right to refuse your order

We reserve the right to refuse to accept your order for any reason including, without limitation and whether or not payment has been received by us, if: We have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered; We do not deliver to your area; or one or more of the goods you ordered was listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical error or an error in the pricing information received by us from our suppliers. If we do refuse your order we will notify you by e-mail, and, will re-credit to your account any sum deducted by us from your card as soon as possible but in any event within 30 days of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered. Confirmation of Received Orders When you have placed an order a confirmation will be emailed to you. We ask you to check this carefully and if any changes are required please let us know immediately.

International Customers

We do not send perishable goods internationally. Any gift vouchers purchased will be subject to international mailing rates and we are not responsible for these charges and we undertake to make no calculations or estimates in this regards.

Guarantee

Cancelled or Amended Orders

Cancellations must be phoned through to us within an hour of the order being placed. We reserve the right to charge cancellation fees if a cancellation is received after this time.

Personal Messages for Gift Vouchers

We respect that all personal messages are private. We do not disclose to any third parties. We do, however, reserve the right to reject and withdraw any message we may consider might offend, be racist, abusive, indecent, obscene, menacing or in breach of confidence to the recipient. Your message will be copied as you type it directly. We cannot be held responsible for any spelling or name mistakes so please check all personal messages carefully.

Liability

Goldstone Hall Hotel shall not be liable for any failure to deliver the products arising from circumstances outside of their control. We do not take any responsibility for the goods once delivered.
