David Austin Roses are also close by, and just over the border in Staffordshire, and there is Trentham Gardens with the mile-long Capability Brown-designed Trentham Lake – a true spectacle. Biddulph Grange is a few miles further and also well worth a visit.
Further into Shropshire, Hawkestone Park and Follies, Attingham Park, Weston Park and Dudmaston are also of note.
