Food highlights include chicken with seasonal asparagus, morels and loveage emulsion for starter; roast beef with freshly made horseradish – straight from the one acre kitchen garden – or locally sourced pork belly with crisp and flavoursome crackling plus a cider jus for main; a selection of puddings from the Goldstone Trolley, with two helpings always encouraged! Whatever tickles his taste buds, we’re confident our flavoursome Sunday Lunch menu will contain plenty to satisfy him.
Extensive wine list
Fathers may want a refreshing pint of ale on arrival. Hand-pulled local beers are available such as Town Crier and Green Monkey, as well as an extensive and award winning wine list. This includes fruit driven, increasingly lighter reds, plus Ports, dessert wines. The family’s Private Collection of wines is also available. Whatever he’s in the mood for, you will be spoilt for choice when it comes to raising a toast to the man of the day!

After a thoroughly indulgent lunch, a stroll around our beautiful grounds will doubtless prove appealing. At this time of year, the gardens make a particularly fine spot for catching some rays and appreciating the perfectly mown lawn. The award winning one acre kitchen garden is the perfect place also for fathers to compare the size of their produce! However, if Dad fancies relaxing after all that pudding, he can sit a while in our delightful terrace garden surrounded by summer scents.
