Visit Shropshire

We are delighted that Shropshire has been recognised as one of 10 ‘destinations to watch’ for holidaymakers in 2024 by Abta, the Association of British Travel Agents.

Shropshire stands as the sole UK location to earn this prestigious recognition this year, and we are thrilled to see the county finally getting the recognition it deserves!

Golden Garden Triangle

Shropshire is famed for one of the birth places of the industrial revolution, but is also home to rolling hills and many beautiful gardens.

At Goldstone, as well as having our award-winning 5-acre RHS partner garden, we are lucky to be close to many other award-winning gardens of merit such as Wollerton Old HallThe Dorothy Clive GardenBridgemere Show Gardens and Hodnet Hall GardensClick here for their opening days and times.

David Austin Roses are also close by, and just over the border in Staffordshire, and there is Trentham Gardens with the mile-long Capability Brown-designed Trentham Lake – a true spectacle. Biddulph Grange is a few miles further and also well worth a visit.

Further into Shropshire, Hawkestone Park and FolliesAttingham ParkWeston Park and Dudmaston are also of note.
